Songs from the singing class

Beauty and Beautiful, School Days

 Remember this song?????

500 MILES

If you miss the train I’m on, you will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles
a hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles, a hundred miles
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles

Lord I’m one, Lord I’m two, Lord I’m three, Lord I’m four
Lord I’m 500 miles from my home
500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles, 500 miles
Lord I’m five hundred miles from my home

Not a shirt on my back, not a penny to my name
Lord I can’t go a-home this a-way
This a-away, this a-way, this a-way, this a-way
Lord I can’t go a-home this a-way

If you miss the train I’m on you will know that I am gone
You can hear the whistle blow a hundred miles

School Days Memories

School Days

The most amazing days of our life when there was no responsibility of real world but a huge tension of completing homework in a given period of time. The days when teachers and principal were considered as greatest enemies of our life

We used to fight for silly things with our friends.
Our fights were either for the window seat in the bus or for stationary items like pencil or sharpener.
But such disputes hardly remain for long time and then we again used to become good friends

Recess which was our favorite time period in school always seemed to be very small.
The guy/gal with the tastiest food would be the most pampered one, but only till his/her Tiffin is not completely finished…
The days when Superman, Batman, Spiderman and all such characters were our heroes and role-models

The days when we used to thought of growing up very soon and always try to imitate like a matured grown-up person
In those days we hated our school as it was responsible for our busy life.
Today when we pass through our school, we keep watching it and start recalling all the fun that we did in those days.

Today these moments have become sweet memories of our life. These moments are so beautiful that they make our eyes wet with a smile when we recall it
We learnt writing with
slates and pencils, and
Progressed to fountain pens and ball pens and then Micro tips

When we chased one another in the
corridors in Intervals, and returned to the classrooms
Drenched in sweat!
When we had lunch in classrooms, corridors,
Playgrounds,
under the trees and even in cycle sheds!
When all the colors in the world,
Gone are the days Of Sports Day,
and the annual School Day ,
And the one-month long
preparations for them.
Gone are the days Of the stressful Quarterly,Half Yearly and Annual Exams, And the most enjoyed holidays after them!

Sitting in the office and breaking my head over some silly Analysis and feeling how good were school days.

This is just to share with my friends how much I Miss them. I dont know if they would be reading this.

My 1st day in school-Ms Anna my class teacher and for me she was the most beautiful person I had ever seen.  Whenever I still see her I feel she hasn’t changed and is still so pretty.

Over the next ten years from a kid  had grown up to a teenager. Each Teacher and  friend that I have come across has touched my life in some way. There was a girl called Sanjula Deb, she left school after 4th standard searched for her a lot but still no clue. Anybody knows where Leena Bhattacharya is???  Whenever I watch singing reality shows I feel Leena to be better than anyone of them. She had a beautiful voice.

Oh Ms Madhuri such elegance, beauty, attitude. She seemed so perfect yet so humble and then Ms Shamoli whose motherly nature has made a mark in each and everbody’s life. Ms Bhattacharya, I guess no one can forget her. Ms Hriday Mary and her sparkling eyes. Ms Basu, Ms Lalita and Ms Vaidehi were  just awesomeand Ms Prem was just like a cocunut. Anybody has any clue anout Ms Nirmala-I still remember the patience she had in explaining Kubla Khan and As You Like-Oliver and Rosalyn.

Ms Phuljari how can I forget her. Ms Nanda-calm and quite. Ms Aparna Bose. Ms sheuli..oh I still miss those games period running till the second gate. Ms Utiya. Ms Sherlie and the sense of humanity has built inside US. Sister Leela, Sister Geeta (hope we all remember the incidences) our Moral science teacher. Sister Gertrude, Sister Kiran. And Miss Nandini who has touched and changed my life.

Each and every teacher and friend I came across in my school life have left there mark in my life.

The Morning assembly. Annual day sports and Parade. Those tiffin breaks ending with first and second bell. The chapel. The hall arrangements before exams. Our HAll and music classes-100 miles is still my favorite song and shall always be.

It just seems yesterday.

Today I am waiting for my daughter to grow. In her I search my childhood. God has given me a second chance to relive my childhood
